Pastors Message

Weekly Update 08/02

Updated Thursday 07/30

And now, a word to you who are elders in the churches. I, too, am an elder and a witness to the sufferings of Christ. And I, too, will share in his glory when he is revealed to the whole world. As a fellow elder, I appeal to you: Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. – 1 Peter 5:1-2 (NLT)

Leading Through Trials

Shepherd is a verb. Through ups and downs, shepherds are always on call. Sheep can wander off, have injuries and diseases, suffer loss, etc. God calls pastors (shepherds) to actively, willingly, and joyfully shepherd the flock. When challenges come or he grows weary, a shepherd must return to his God and his calling. Pray for your pastor and all pastors, that we will shepherd well. Thanks for being great sheep!

Think about it…
Dear Holy Spirit,
Today I pray for the fruit of the spirit in my pastor’s life—that love, joy, peace, and patience will guide; that kindness and goodness will be companions; that faithfulness will be the motto, and that gentleness and self-control will be evident to all. Help the pastor to see each person today through Your eyes. And help them to see You in the pastor. – copied
