Ready for Judgement – Jesus, Noah, and Us
Just as it was in the days of Noah, ultimate judgement is coming. We must be ready. The very sad part about the people of Noah’s day is that they had days, months, years, decades, and even over a century to repent of their sin and turn to God. When the flood came, only eight people in the world entered into the safety of Noah’s ark. What a tragedy!
Today’s ark is Jesus Christ. We must be “in Him” to be spared from the awful judgement with fire. Are you ready? What about your family and friends? We must enter and help others enter into the “ark” which is Christ.
Hospitality – Such an Important Ministry
These past few weeks have been busy for our kitchen team. I think a better name would be “hospitality team.” These wonderful folks have provided meals and hospitality for four funerals and three events. Thanks so much to Stephanie and Tommy Moore, Becky Jones, Trish Hunter, Dawn Kaegael, and Amy Harsha. Hopefully I haven’t missed anyone. This is such a vital ministry, especially to grieving families. Well done!
Summer Splash was Great!
We had a great turn out and a lot of fun this past Wednesday at Summer Splash. It was wonderful to see children, parents, and grandparents enjoying the fun together. Thanks so much to Jacob Harris, P. J. Barrett, and all who came to help make it a great evening. You did good!
HIS Lunch is Fast Approaching – Help!
Every August we provide a back-to-school meal, door prizes, fun, and fellowship for the faculty and staff of Hillsboro Intermediate School. We also get to share the gospel and take prayer requests. HIS is a great partner with us for Kids Beach Club and we are so thankful for Principal Stephanie Tucker and all the great employees there.
